About the College	The college was established in the year 1994 and is affiliated with University of Kashmir for running B.Ed course. It is located at Shah Anwar Colony, Khaliqabad, Hyderpora Bye Pass at a distance of only 6 kms from main city Lal Chowk, Srinagar. The college is run by Mirza Arif Educational Trust. Iqbal Hanief Beg, Yasmin Iqbal and Habiba Arif are the members of the Trust. The college has 18 kanals of land and is built as per UGC norms. We have spacious class rooms designed as per the requirement for professional college. The total area of the college building is 40,000 sq feet. The size of the lecture halls and library, computer lab range from 600 sq feet to 800 sq fts.
Special Features of the College	The college posses a rich library with adequate number of text books, references, journals and other reading materials. Besides the library, the college has well equipped science and computer laboratories having latest electronic gadgets. The college has well qualified teaching staff to run the B.Ed course. The College is also famous in curricular activities. Medical facilities are also available in the college.Cricket, Foot Ball, Badminton, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Tennis are the games which are played in the college.
Subjects offered	Besides four compulsory papers, the college offers four options in paper V, namely:- Population Education, Guidance & Counseling, Elementary Computer Education, Environmental Education. In paper VI, the college offers choice of subjects namely : Teaching of English, Hindi, Punjabi, Mathematics, History, Geography and Bio-Science. The final practice of teaching is conducted in the College’s own School Lab i.e. New Convent Higher Secondary School, Gogji Bagh, Srinagar.
Hostel Facility	We have within the campus hostel facility for girls and for boys we have 4 hostels situated within the range of 1 km from College.
