About the College:

The college was established in the year 1996 & is housed in a magnificent building The college is located on picturesque karewa of Baramulla national highway fifty km's from Srinagar city. The college campus comprise nine kanals of land. The College is affiliated to the University of Kashmir vide letter No. F(Renewal-Affilation)Acad/KU/07; Dated 9th August-2007 and stands recognized by the UGC under section 2(f) of UGC act of 1956.The College is known for its academic excellence & excellent results. The main objective of the college is to bring about quality & excellence in teacher education programme. The college classrooms are highly congenial for teaching learning process with sophisticated furniture designed according to norms of the Kashmir University.

 
Hostel Facility

Separate hostel facility for boys and girls with self managed mess by the students is available with in the campus. The medical and transport facility is also available.
Laboratories

Computer Lab

The college has separate computer education section, well qualified & experienced staff available to handle the computer centre. The computer branch of college provides the internet, fax & digital Photostat facilities.

Psychology / Audio Visual lab

The Audio visual lab. of the college is applied to the part of the curriculum. The lab. is fully equipped with the latest technology of modern times like overhead projector, color T.V., DVD player with educational CD's, cassettes, DTH, digital camera, geographical models, maps, charts, & other 3D models.

Teaching of Hindi, Punjabi, English, Urdu, physical science, bioscience, Mathematics, history, geography, The college offers three elective subjects population education, guidance & counseling & special education.

 

 
Library

The library enriched with the latest collection of various types of books on different branches of  knowledge including encyclopedia, educational cassettes, national dailies, magazine& journals on different subject matters. The library has about 7000 textbooks, 2000 reference books, 1500 issues of leading magazine, journals and news papers. College library is highly modernized and fully computerized.
