INTRODUCTION AND TOPOGRAPHIC BACKGROUND:- Jamia College of Education (JCE) is an opening step of a “mission– on–educational theme” for facilitating the educational fabric and empirism in the society, by an autonomous non-political and non-government organization viz, Jamia Educational Trust, Brakerpora Anantnag, established in year 2005, a conjure congregation of scholars.

            The College Campus is located at district headquarters (5 min. drive) of a famous spring town Anantnag on National Highway NH-1B leading to kashtewar via Kukernag. The campus has an adequate accommodation/infrastructural facilities of about 25000 sq.ft floor area at disposal. The outlook of college at glance arrows the valuable vision of the trust and open anticipates about the mission and theme.

 The College has been granted permission by J&K state Govt. vide Government order  No. 143 /HE of 2007, Dated 19/07/2007  and is affiliated to the University of Kashmir (NAAC Accredited Grade “A”) Vide affiliation letter No. F(Affi-jamia)Acad/KU/07 dated: 23/08/2007 for imparting instructions in the B.Ed programme.

The College is an Ideal Abode of Knowledge and Ethics

Separate residential accommodations for both boys and girls is available within the campus for about 200 boarders.  All rooms are well furnished, ventilated, electrified and are adorned with first aid, sanitary, transport and all other required daily necessities.

A well stocked library housing diverse collection of books, journals and news papers, and top-notch-core science labs.

1. Laboratory:- An extremely well equipped lab with latest experiments pertaining to the subjects and otherwise catering the diversity of psychology lab, social science etc.
2. Audio-Visual :- The College has very well equipped laboratories for Bio-Sciences, Psychology, Geography, E.T.V etc..

In addition to core and compulsory subjects, a special thrust is mounted towards the empiric work internship, project work, information technology and concern on ethics.
