The Harmukh college of education stands affiliated to the university of Kashmir (A-grade-NAAC accredited).The college is located in the suburbs of town Bandipore at Sonerwani a famous tourist spot. The college is linked with the main city of Srinagar just 60 km away towards the north of Kashmir. The college is well equipped to run the B.ED course successfully since its inception in the year 2003-04.

Social science Lab:-

The social science lab is fully equipped with requisite equipments & latest of material. The students feel at home with the facilities available in the lab. The equipment includes latest maps. Charts, Globes, Geography models, Rain Gauge,  Barometer, Seasons Apparatus, Universal principles model of Eclipse, Day and night, Time indicator etc.  

 Science Lab:- 

The science lab is well arranged having adequate facilities. The lab room is airy and spacious, quite feasible to explore the new methods and observations in context to science. The material present in the lab includes Microscopes, Histological slides, Disection boxes, Trays, Magnifying Glasses, Optical bench mirrors & lenses slides wire bridge, Burrete, pipettes, Flasks, and Thermometer and Electro chemical cells. Reagents with indicators, Human Skelton, Museum specimens etc.

Psychology lab:-

The psychology lab is well established, having all sorts of psychological test  equipment and description. The material includes Battea battery of performance test, Photographs of psychologists, passi test of creativity language test of creativity, verbal test of creative thinking non verbal test of creative thinking, T.A.T, Pf questionnaire General class room achievement text, H.S Personality questionnaire etc

Computer Lab:-

The computer lab. Is highly high tech, having modern facilities of computer world. The appliances/ Auxiliaries presents in the lab are computers, printer’s scanners, photo copier/ fax /scanner, Fax Machine UPS on line, Genset and Transformer.

 The College has a rich Library, Computer and Science laboratories besides spacious and comfortable lecture halls as per the norms of University.

The college owns well established hostels, having latest facilitates. The rooms are airy, spacious well decorated and maintained .The accommodation is quite adequate for more than 200 students, Besides, separate hostel and mess facility for girl students is also available Every care is taken to make the stay of the hostelions quite safe and comfortable.

Harmukh college of education has adopted commiserative approach , in terms of its vast social service activities. Scholarships are paid to orphans and extremely poor students. College is providing financial assistance to the victims of natural calamities when ever such situation arises. The college has so far helped the fire suffers at Gamroo, Ashtangoo, Lawadara, and Chattibandy both in cash and kind.  The earthquake victims of October 2004 of Uri, Tangdar, of our state were given financial and other assistance by the college. 

Co-curricular Activities:

The institution is regularly conducting the co-curricular activities such as debates, seminars, symposia; in addition extension lectures are being delivered by the experts, having excellence in literary horizons.

 Transport Facility:-

College provides adequate transport facility. The students and staff  avail this facility during the working hours as well as occasional trips or outings
