About the College:

Green Valley College of Education Research and Trainings, Lethpora Pampore has been established in the year 2003.The collage is recognized by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and affiliated to the University of Kashmir (NAAC Accredited Grade “A” University). The College campus is located at a renowned town of Kashmir valley-Lethpora (Pampore) very close to Srinagar - Jammu National Highway, with beautiful location, bewitching architecture and a scenic charm. It is sprawled on a vast piece of land (about 12 kanals) wherefrom one can view the rich and fertile paddy fields stretching along the National Highway.

LOCATION

Lethpora, famous for Saffron (Kesar) Cultivation is situated at the foot of (Sonakrund) Karewa, on the right bank of river Jehlum. The town is representative of the ancient ‘Laltpura’ founded by king Lalitaditya (A.D 693-729). It is about 15 kms. ahead from capital city of Srinagar, famous as “the Venice of the East”

 The college has an attractive, impressive and lush green campus, far away from the maddening crowd. The location is calm, cool and ideal for the best academic environment. In the vicinity of the college campus falls 2 ancient monumental temples of Raja Awantiwarman at Awantipora on the right side of National Highway. The University of Science and Technology is also located in  the same town.

The College has highly qualified, well experienced and talented faculty in all subjects/ streams of B.Ed  programme, properly selected by the University Selection Committee.

 
Special Features:

LIBRARY

The College has well established Library with sufficient number of Text as well as reference books in all streams of Teacher Training programme (B.Ed) in English as well as in Hindi Medium. The library also maintains a regular supply of News papers, Magazines and Journals from different parts of the Country.

LABORATORIES

The College has well equipped computer/E.T Lab with latest gadgets, psychosocial Lab, Physical/ Bio-Science Lab , Computer lab and Social Science lab. All the Labs are fully equipped with Audio Visual facilities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
Subjects Offered:

In accordance with U.G.C and Kashmir University norms, the College provides the subject stream in B.Ed course as under:

Besides four compulsory papers (core subjects I,II,III, IV), the College offers language paper's in teaching of English.  Hindi. Punjabi and Urdu (paper V) with additional subjects in Teaching of History, Geography, Mathematics , Physical Science and Bio-Science (paper VI) with the choice in special paper  as Computer Education, Population Education, Guidance and Counseling , Environmental Education and Physical Education as paper VII.
Hostel Facility:

The collage provides Hostel facilities separately for both boys and girls with all necessary arrangements to the non-local students within the college campus. The menu in the hostel follows with the choice of students.
