About the College:

The College was established in the year April, 2003 by an experienced educationist Dr. Joginder Singh Shan Kashmiri and was recognized by Jammu & Kashmir Government as well as by U.G.C Govt. of India as per No. F .8-270/2006(CPP-I) dated September 2006. The College stands affiliated to the University of Kashmir vide letter No. F(renewal –affiliation/Acad/KU, Dated August, 9th, 2007. It is located at Jammu Srinagar National Highway adjacent to sacred Gurdwara of Guru Nanak Dev Ji who visited this place during his Second Travels in the year 1518 A. D. The Gurdwara was reconstructed by the Sikhs of Tral in particular and Sikhs of Valley in general, which has its historical importance .Srinagar city is 28 Kms. away from this place.

The Awantipora was once capital of King a wantivarman who laid foundation of this city during his reign. This place is now as a town still exists in the name of Awantivarman as A wantipora. The town is located at the bank of River Jehlum and has two important monuments as an attraction for the visitors/tourists who visit this place. Recently a Muslim University has been established. This Gurdwara adds to the grandeur of this place by providing accommodation and free kitchen to visitors without any caste or creed. This attracts parents and students from far away places.

Dispensary

A dispensary stands established with one experienced Doctor, Medical Assistant and Nurse. It has three bed ward and other necessary equipments available, free service to people also.

 
Laboratory:

The college has three laboratories viz Physics and Chemistry, Bio-Science Psychology Lab. and a Computer lab too to cater the need of students in resent times.

 

 

 
Library:

The College has its own rich library having five thousand books on different subjects of Education, Psychology, Technology, History, Science, Computer Science and books on Kashmir too. The College provides different national and local daily newspapers in English, Hindi, Punjabi and many other  Magazines of different universities both general and science.
Subjects offered:

In addition to four compulsory subjects, the College offers Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi History , Geography, Mathematics, English, Physical Science, Bio Science, Physical and Health Education, Technology and Population Education for which experienced staff is available .

 
Hostel Facility:

 

 

 

 

The College has Girls Hostel building in College Campus, besides Boys Hostel is at the entrance of the College and students face no difficulty of boarding, lodging while coming and going to College.
