About the College:

APEX College is located at world famous apple town at Sopore on Sopore Achhbal Road in the close vicinity of Govt. Women's College Sopore. The College campus is spread over 13 kanals of land. The college buildings are well designed, highly decorated, well ventilated and as per the required UGC norms. the College has pictorious surroundings with well maintained sprawling lawns.The college has a good ,serene and lush green campus far from the madding crowd. The location provides the best academic atmosphere feasible for imparting the training to its students..

 The College has been granted permission by J&K state Govt. vide Government order  No. 197/HE of 2007, Dated 07/09/2007  and is affiliated to the University of Kashmir (NAAC Accredited Grade “A”) Vide affiliation letter No. F(Affi-B.Ed)KU/07  dated: 29-09-2007 for imparting instructions in the B.Ed programme.

Library:

The College has well established library equipped with reference books on all subjects taught in the BEd. course to cater to the needs of the students. We subscribe to some general as well as professional journals and magazines, news papers  etc.. We have a well-equipped. Ventilated, lighted and airy reading room which the students use for enriching their knowledge.

 

 

Hostel:

The college has separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with neat and clean beddings. the college provides homely atmosphere to the students. the hostel has well maintained dining hall, with highly hygienic and delicious food facilities. the college has well established hospital in nearby vicinity with medical facilities round the clock.

  • Laboratory:- The College has highly equipped laboratories in bio-science, chemistry, physics, Geography, psychology and computer labs. Audio visual facility is also available with over head projector, slide projector with maps and charts psychological tests, tools teaching Aid material etc. Besides digital camera, lamination facilities are also available.
  • Scientifically fixed laboratory with equipments, apparatus, chemicals, charts, diagrams, glassware, microscopes etc. Besides Skelton and models are designed to view a true laboratory for the students use.

 

 
Subject Specialization:-

In accordance with U.G.C and Kashmir University norms, the College provides the subject stream in B.Ed course as under:

Besides four compulsory papers (core subjects I,II,III, IV), the College offers language paper's in teaching of English.  Hindi. Punjabi and Urdu (paper V) with additional subjects in Teaching of History, Geography, Mathematics , Physical Science and Bio-Science (paper VI) with the choice in special paper  as Computer Education, Population Education, Guidance and Counseling , Environmental Education and Physical Education as paper VII.
