About the College:

AI-Noor College of education has been established by an NGO namely "Future Vision Society J&K (regd.) in the year 2003. AI-Noor means "the light", The light that comes through education, knowledge and learning. The aim of the institution is to impart high quality education to the students. The college is temporarily affiliated to The University of Kashmir for imparting instructions in REd course. AI-Noor College has its own building, a spacious, well ventilated, airy RC.C giant structure which the Dean, College Development Council, Kashmir University- Professor Rais Akhter ­inaugurated on 16th December 2003.The college has a rich library, a well equipped science laboratory and a state-of-art Computer lab.

 
Library and Reading Room:

The College bas a rich library having thousands of books on all subjects taught in the BEd. course. There is good number of 'General' as well as 'Reference' books. We subscribe to some general as well as professional journals and magazines. We have a well-equipped. Ventilated, lighted and airy reading room which the students use for enriching their knowledge.
Laboratories:

The College bas well-equipped science lab., Computer lab., Social Science lab. Educational Technology lab. and Psychology lab.
Hostel Facilities:

The college management has ensured that best possible accommodation is provided to the inmates. There are three hostel buildings housing male and female students separately, with proper mess facilities

 
Subjects Offered:

The College offers the following courses:

  1.  Core papers. (Papers I-IV)

  2. Content-cum-methodology courses (paper V-VII).

  • Group a: Languages (Paper V) T.O. Eng., Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

  • Group b: Social Sciences (paper VI) T.o. History & Civics, T.O. Geography.

  • Group c: Sciences (paper VII). T.O. Bio-Science, Phy. Science, Maths.

3.    Optional papers: In addition to four foundation courses, the college offers the following optional papers: Population Education, Educational Technology, Guidance and counseling, Computer Technology, Value Education, Env. Education, School Management
