About the College:Al’Ahad college of Hr.Education is situated at sarwat abad on the world famous tourist resort “Phalgam” road , just 7 km from main Khanabal chowk of district Anantnag which falls in the southern part of the valley. Hostel Facility The college provides separate hostel facilities for male and female candidates. The hostels are well furnished with all essential facilities including a spacious dinning hall where the Indian continental food is provided. A three storied concrete building situated on Khanabal Pahalgam Road is under the occupation of the college at a monthly rent of Rs.=28,000/= (Rupees Twenty Eight Thousand)
Library The college provides rich library and well equipped laboratories besides well experienced and highly qualified teachers with expertise in the relevant fiel
Other Facilities Class Room / Retiring Room:-It has all the facilities as of Principal’s room College Canteen:-A well canteen fully furnished with matting. There are three bathrooms, two for gents and one for ladies. All the three bathrooms are provided with sophisticated toilet fittings. Reception office:- It is situated at the college gate as an out house comprising of a two storied concrete building with two hall of 20˘´24˘ and four attached bathrooms. Park:-Well developed park with avenues laid out in between benches fixed in different corners of the park. Transport facility:-Two luxury busses have been kept at the service of the students who opt for the same. Amenities:- Medical:-A small dispensary is available in the college. However, Govt. Primary Health center is at a stones throw from the college. Games:-Games material and facilities are provided fullest to the students. Multiple games material such as Badminton, Volley Ball etc is available in the college.

In the periphery of the college falls the ancient monumental sun temple at MARTAND just 1 km from the college. The temple has a very great importance in the HINDU religion. Besides a number of mughal gardens fall in the outskirts of the college. the colege is recognised by the J&K Government vide Government order No. EDU-COLL/NOC/PVT INSTT/04 dated 27-06-2005, and is affiliated to the university of kashmir HE/RECOG/PVT-INSTT/18/B.Ed/2006 Dated 24-07-2007. Building L-Shaped two storied pacca building (third storey under construction) consisting of six halls with dimensions 20˘´30˘ with full seating arrangements for above sixty students and twelve rooms with different dimensions. Approved Intake:- The college has been granted approved intake capacity of 120 seats in addition of management and supernumerary quota by the University of Kashmir for the session 2007-08.
