About the college:

RESET college of education, established in 2004, is recognized by the J&K Govt. and affiliated temporarily to University of Kashmir for conducting B.Ed programme. It is located in Lasjan, just ½ km distance from Panthachowk bus terminal

Inspection Year 

The inspection year was conducted by University of Kashmir & UGC New Delhi in year 2005, and was permitted to run the B.Ed Programme.

Infrastructure  

The College has its own building & Campus spread over 8 Kanals of landscape with all the necessary facilities.

Salient Features         

Teaching Facility: The College has well qualified & meritorious teaching staff appointed after proper screening by the selection committee of University of Kashmir. A great care is taken by its teachers to impart education & training to the students in a comprehensive & a very lucid manner with the help of demonstration & Teaching aids. The college also offers the option to appear in the examination in Hindi Script. Besides the compulsory subjects in the B.Ed Training Course, the college offers teaching in all the below mentioned optional subjects.

The basic objective of the RESET is social upliftment of the rural underprivileged and teacher education is the basic instrument of social change. We prepare teachers not only for disseminating quality education but also to develop our students as a vital human resources factor for a total social transformation.

Co-curricular Activities

College is organizing regular seminars & debates for students, to give them better confidence & exposure. Besides this some cultural activities like Drams, Plays Conducted with Participation of Students.

The college has a specious library with a considerable & diverse range publication including text books & Reference books authored by eminent Foreign & Indian Writers. The library is also enriched with Commission reports, latest journals, Magazines, Periodicals & News Papers (English/Hindi/Urdu) to keep the students well informed.

For imparting the practical knowledge has set up a number of Laboratory facilities well equipped with all necessary instruments, Models, Specimens, chemicals & other materials for conducting practical. Among other facilities, there is psychology lab & Bio-Science. The college has also an Audio-Visual & a state of the art computer lab.

The college has well maintained, specious & Ventilated Hostel Buildings separate of Boys & Girls with hygienic mess facility equipped with electronic water purifier.

Sports, Recreation & Medical Facilities

For the physical fitness of the students a number of Indoor & Outdoor games are provided by the college. For the recreation & entertainment special tour programs are organized by the college. Besides this due, medical care is provided by the college when required.
